Bowie Tactical M&P9c Range Report
You can find good pictures and my initial impressions at http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum/...esomeness.html
OK, so after the inaugral cleaning last night I loaded her up with 147 HST and unloaded the 12 round mag plus the one in the pipe the fun way.
As you can see the first 13 fired medium pased fell all around point of aim. My idea of medium pased is about 1 second split times and this was to verify the gun was gonna shoot (of course it would, DUH!) and that the red dot was close to zero. No malfunctions. Not bad either!
The second task was general reliability, 3 yards, mixed bad of JHP including 124gr and 147 gr HST, Speer Gold Dot, Power Ball, and some of that RCBD garbage someone gave me (Ireally wanted to be rid of the stuff) This was all done at a quick pase of around 2 rounds per second. Even though I was mainly testing for reliability I was trying to hold a decent doubletap and triple tap group. I had 1 major oops that went high when I fired before reaquiring the dot. (this is gonna take some getting use to)
I would like to note the only issues I had here where with the RCBD, Hard primers or light primer strikes 4 times out of 20 rounds...this is a high incedence in 20, where I had no other issues with the other 100 or so serious self defense rounds, so I'm gonna call a spade a spade and say RBCD is GARBAGE.
So then I went about testing for real accuracy. The following pic is WWB slow fire at 10 yards.
OH YEAH! How about 20 yards

OK not bad but obviously a carry gun with an abbrieviated grip and short barrel isn't going to make a bullseye competition pistol...Lets bring it back to 10 yards.
