    Bowie Tactical M&P9c Range Report

You can find good pictures and my initial impressions at Even the guys in the gun shop where drooling! BTC M&P9c Awesomeness!

OK, so after the inaugral cleaning last night I loaded her up with 147 HST and unloaded the 12 round mag plus the one in the pipe the fun way.

As you can see the first 13 fired medium pased fell all around point of aim. My idea of medium pased is about 1 second split times and this was to verify the gun was gonna shoot (of course it would, DUH!) and that the red dot was close to zero. No malfunctions. Not bad either!

The second task was general reliability, 3 yards, mixed bad of JHP including 124gr and 147 gr HST, Speer Gold Dot, Power Ball, and some of that RCBD garbage someone gave me (Ireally wanted to be rid of the stuff) This was all done at a quick pase of around 2 rounds per second. Even though I was mainly testing for reliability I was trying to hold a decent doubletap and triple tap group. I had 1 major oops that went high when I fired before reaquiring the dot. (this is gonna take some getting use to)

I would like to note the only issues I had here where with the RCBD, Hard primers or light primer strikes 4 times out of 20 rounds...this is a high incedence in 20, where I had no other issues with the other 100 or so serious self defense rounds, so I'm gonna call a spade a spade and say RBCD is GARBAGE.

So then I went about testing for real accuracy. The following pic is WWB slow fire at 10 yards.

OH YEAH! How about 20 yards
    DSC_0051.jpgDSC_0053.jpg
OK not bad but obviously a carry gun with an abbrieviated grip and short barrel isn't going to make a bullseye competition pistol...Lets bring it back to 10 yards.

    Nice. Thanks for sharing.

here's my other 10 yard slow fire group.

Enough of the slow fire testing! Lets get back to where this pistol lives and breathes! Rock and Roll triple taps and double taps at 3 yards!

She did real well. I did had 1 light strike or hard primer with the WWB but I don't consider WWB to be of high enough quality either to call it the gun...once again it ate all the serious self defense stuff without issue.

Also pictured is the Kydex holster I made last night and carried today in...very simple IWB and very comfy.

    Thanks for reading!

You have inspired me. I just bought a second M&P compact and now know what I'm going to do with it. Will the red dot fit in standard holsters like the crossbreed? Thanks for sharing.

I haven't test fit this gun in a cross breed but I did test fit a stock m&p in one and looking where the red dot mounts I would say it should work. If not just sand away the required amount of kydex... Easy fix.

That depends too on the depth of the front sight channel. That Suppressor sight is considerably taller than the stock one.

Now that you have had some time to settle down: What all did you have done to your M&P9c?

What's entailed in a reliability package?
