    Momma brought me a new toy!

    When I bought my wife her Sig Sauer P238, I told her that I would like to try a P239 9mm for my carry gun. We went to the range several times and fired her new P238 and a few of my other handguns.

    After a few trips to the range, I rented a P239 9mm just to try it out. She fired the rented P239 a few times too and destroyed the little red dot in the middle of the 7" bullseye. For the next few trips, I rented the P239 and let her fire it when she wasn't firing her P238. She liked it!

    Today, she brought a black plastic box from the car and asked me if this was the right early Christmas gift for me...a brand new Sig P239!

    I have a new toy!!!

    When I field stripped it, I found that it was in much better shape than her P238 when we got it new in the box. Her P238 was absolutely dry and needed to be lubed. This new P239 is nicely lubed straight from the factory. Sweet!

    Hmmm...I think we will go to the range tomorrow.

    I think when your wife buys you a gun, it means she trusts you and you are in it for the long haul...We've been working on this marriage for about 39 years now...still working on it...

    Yup. My bride of 44 years (and counting) bought me an XDs for Christmas. She also has a very nice P238, 686, and S&W 17-2.

    Very nice!! A little early for christmas, but you got yourself a good woman there.
