Does anyone carry a Full size revolver anymore?

I was thinking about useing my Ruger Security Six with a 4 inch barrel for my carry piece just to change things up.I have a nice old pancake holster for it and it hides quite nicely under my work shirt that I wear every day.I was just wondering if anyone still carries a good size revolver like this one anymore.I can still remember carrying my S&W model 29 in the early 80's.Now that was a load and a half.

If I had a model 29 I would use it for my carry gun while hiking.
For now I carry my Ruger Blackhawk and my 1911 while hiking.

I'm going in to change the pistols on my CCW next week, and I think I'm going to add my Smith 625 (45ACP). If I miss with all six, I could throw the gun and stop a small car...

In the cooler months I like to carry my S&W 629 or 624 with 3" barrel. Not an S&W 500 but a full sized revolver IMHO.

My EDC has become a Smith Mod. 19 with a 2 1/2" barrell in a OWB pancake. I'll soon be getting a good IWB that will allow the 2 1/2" or my 4" barrell gun, so I'll have more options.

After a post I made here a few weeks back, I found that there are still many revolver guys out there carrying them, but probably a little over half of them are J-frames.

Occasionally I will carry concealed or open the following:
    S&W Model 10 HB 4 inch
    S&W Model 686 4 inch
    Colt Python 6 inch

The two S&W's are carried in pancake or paddle holsters concealed
The Python is concealed in a shoulder holster or a Bianchi model 5BH with a long coat.

I did for a while carry my 4" M28-2, and still would happily.

These days tho I try to stick to a totally dedicated consistency - the 226.

Just the other day I was out with my 4" 686 comfortably resting in a Galco pancake holster. Cover garment was a short-sleeved oxford-type shirt, worn open. I couldn't believe how good it felt to have "Old Faithful" on my hip...

Just today I carried my Ruger GP-100 3" ss .357 in my galco pancake holster. Fits great under my lightweight jacket. I keep it loaded with Hydrashocks.

I carry several of my revolvers.

I have a Smith & Wesson 65-5 with a 3" barrel carried IWB in a HBE Com 3 loaded with 147gr. Winchester Silvertips:

I also carry a Ruger 3" SP-101 ina Tucker Heritage IWB and OWB in a Don Hume holster:

As soon as I get a holster for my 41mag Redhawk, I shortened to 4", it too will be carried concealed from time to time.
