First Gun to be Glock 19, what deals offers did you make?
Hey all, looking to get my first gun as my permit is on its way, I have decided I really like the glock 19. I have been to a few LGS recently and they all are around the
same price at 475ish for the gen 4. I was wondering what deals or offers anybody has made when buying theirs as I will also need the essentials like cleaning kits and
what not.

For that price, it is unlikely you will get any deals. I paid 525 for my Gen 4 19.
I just asked my guy to order one, and he did.

Yep, unless you are LEO or military or GSSF member, that is a pretty fair price for a NIB G19. LEO, Military and GSSF members can get them for a base price of around $400

Just be happy you can get a NIB one for that price!
By the sound of your post, it seems like this will be your first gun. Did you get a chance to rent a few different guns before deciding on the G19? Aside from the gun, make sure you think about the cost of both practice and carry ammo, a holster(s), and like you said, a cleaning kit.

Thats a fantastic price on a NIB Gen 4.
You can find complete cleaning kits for very little (less than 25$) at pretty much any sporting goods store. The glock will come with a nice little bore brush as well.
Welcome to the club, this wont be your last pistol, I promise!

Doubt you'll get much of a "deal" on it. Guns are not where gun stores make their money. The money is made on accessories.

What is wrong with a Glock being someone's first gun?

That is a fantastic price on a NIB Gen 4. Just a heads-up...many new Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glocks have ejection issues and I personally would not buy a new Glock at the moment. Any used Glocks made in 2006 or prior should be just fine.

It sure beats buying and selling many others and then finding out you should have bought the Glock...I'm just sayin'
To the OP, nice price...grab it up!

thanks for all the feedback, always good to know your getting a good price, main reason I asked is they are always "making a deal" with people trying to get them to buy when I was there
dreaming, however I'm happy to just go in and pick it up then. Thanks again

My new Gen 4 has had zero issues whatsoever.

I have a new 2012 manufacture G19 Gen 4. Brass to the face is non existent. I think the issue has been resolved. I have had 1 FtE in 1,500 rounds and that was a light reload. The early FtE issues have also been resolved. Congrats on a great purchase. It will be an ugly, reliable gun!
PS I paid $525 for mine. Ask for a discount on night sights if it doesn't come with them - at that price I would doubt it does.
