    Bought my 3rd Shield today...

    And I STILL don't have one... one for my son's graduation, one for the other son's Christmas present and then today my dad ask me to pick one up for him!

    Things gun forums have taught me:
    -Some people shoot guns other "run" them.
    -I don't dislike Glocks but often dislike Glock owners.
    -Open carry is to a handgun as bluetooth is to a cell phone!
    -Simple math can deliver posts per day... some gun forum members need to get out more!!!

    I thought it was illegal to buy a firearm with the intention of giving it to someone else. Am I wrong? Perhaps OP meant bought a gift certificate good for purchase of a gun.

    Jack, as long as the gun is a gift and not being paid for by someone else it is legal.
    I think guns are like insurance. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

    I believe, you are right in regard to federal law. Did a brief search and it seems gift has to be intrafamily, which is the case here. I was thinking of Sarah Brady buying rifle for her son. I believe, in that case her violation was one of Delaware not Federal law.
