Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.

Taken from the article "even implanted in an authorized shooter's hand"
Taken from the book of Revelation 13:16b-17 "that there be given them a mark on their right hand, or upon their forehead; and that no man should be able to buy or to sell, save he that hath the mark, even the name of the beast or the number of his name."
Just sayin. Microchip implantation, while perhaps used for good now, can be used for much worse things later.

I won't even trust an electronic safe let alone a gun with an electronic safety.
I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

That said, I think they are not yet well designed. e.g., if you need to be wearing the magic ring, what happens if
you need to switch the hand that is holding the gun as could easily happen if you are injured or just in a better
position to use one hand instead of the other.
(Just speculation, I've never seen one._)
Also, What if you're down and your wife needs to shoot it?

How would I share guns with my wife? What if I'm not home when a BG tries to break in?

The more technology I have and use, the more I
have learned not to trust it. No way, no how - old school is better!
Trading my glock for a revolver, ok j/k, but you get my drift.
The stupidity of some people NEVER ceases to amaze me.

as a LEO, I wouldn't want ring technology, at most, a mag disconnect safety.

The few guns I bought with this, I have disabled it. Removed the S&W internal locks too. I don't like something designed to render my firearm inoperable...like mag disconnects, internal locks, politicians, liberals, etc....

Presently she wouldn't know what to do with a gun; though that is about to change.
[Explanation: I was in ICU for a few hours the other afternoon and overnight in a hospital room; due to a little
too much fun at my martial arts class. Mrs H. has finally figured
out that I'm not always around to protect her.]
