gunbroker.com has plenty of PPS's available. I was going to buy one from GB but happen to find one at a LGS.
Get the PPS....you won't be sorry.

Have you thought about the Sig P290RS? 6+1 flush or 8+1 ext mags, 20.5oz, 1.1" wide at the slide stop lever but only 0.9" wide everywhere else.

I couldn't agree more. As part of my 9mm S&W Shield review, I made a video last summer comparing my 20 year old 3913 with the New S&W Shield. Posted it up on YouTube and I've received nothing but grief and thumbs downs on the video. Nice to know at least ONE person agrees with me. Thank you.
Not my best work, but the video is here if you are interested. Why I'm Not Excited About The S&W M&P Shield 9mm - Unboxing - YouTube

Oh by the way THANK GOD FOR GOV. SCOTT WALKER.
I had a 709,first time out I had multiple FTF's, on the range of every 3/4 magazines. I went through 300 bullets, mostly FMJ's and some hollowpoints. That's around the neighborhood of a dozen FTF's. The slide was also starting to rust in the grooves after a couple months of carry. A couple days later I took it to a pawn shop and sold it for cheap. Taurus does have a lifetime warranty and I could have sent it in, even if it was fixed I would never trust a 709 to work correctly in a time of need.
Ive had a beretta nano for over a year and it has run flawless. They now have extended mages and night sites available. It is a great gun. Shoot one before you make your choice if you can.
Seems like I started a good thread with this one....got alot of good feedback and ideas...
Thanks to all that posted!
More posts are welcome...
Some other suggestions that I have had experiences with:
Taurs PT709
Walther PPS
Kahr PM9
Keltec PF9
All 4 are excellent firearms. God Bless![]()
I am very pleased with my cm9. The first few times I loaded it 6+1 I had issues with it not picking up the second round. Within 50 rounds that was cured and it runs flawlessly now. It had no problems running hot self defense loads 6+1 right out of the gate, only 115gr practice stuff.
