    Its a Merry Shield Christmas!

I got my son a Shield for graduation this past spring, my dad and I bought one for my other son for Christmas this year then he decided he wanted one so he gave me the money and ask me to find one. I found it 3 days after he ask for it but decided to wrap up for Christmas. To: Daddy From: Himself.

Minutes after my son opened his, Daddy opened his, then my boys gave me a box shaped just like the ones we had just seen... yes a Shield for me too!

    It's very Smithy Christmas.

Congratulations! I'm still waiting for my M&P40C to be delivered to the gun store. I asked about a Shield & the man told me that it might be a wait at least twice as long as the M&P40C. If I wouldn't have gotten such a good deal I would have tried to find a store that had some in stock, either gun.

The trick seems to be to find a dealer that sells lots of S&W's, have been for a long time and will put you on a waiting list. Pretty much everyone in town laughed at at when I ask about them, including PSA and Sportsmans Warehouse.

Congrats. I picked up my .40 Shield on Christmas Eve and spent the afternoon running about 100 rounds through. This thing shoots like a dream... Very satisfied so far.

I'm not sure I've ever seen 4 M&P Shields in any one place at the same time before. Certainly not in any gunshops.

Congrats on the new pistols. Very nice guns. Merry Christmas!

I've only seen one in person at a gun show, and it was priced about double what it should have been. I'm amazed by these stories I read here where it seems like they are on the shelf of every store I haven't visited.

Congrats on your Christmas. Sounds like your family must have behaved better than I did this past year for Santa to be so kind.
