    Can't find a Ruger SP101

    Anyone know a place around northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin I can find a new Ruger SP 101 .357 mag 3 inch barrel? Gat guns is telling me they might not be able to get one for a few months minimum.

    I can find the 2.25 inch barrel......

    I have no patience when I want something. Think its worth waiting out the 3inch or just pull the trigger (pun intended) on the 2.25?

    Yeah, when I was looking for one I just googled around a little. Eventually found it at Joe Bob (?) Outfitters and had it shipped/transferred.

    I have a 2.25" and its great for carrying. I do plan on the 3" 327fedmag but i dont think that will carry as easily. I carry AIWB so the shorter barrel is good. If you plan on OWB then the 3" would be better.
    I carry a .357mag because no one bickers about the .357mag being "enough".

    No way, I have made that mistake, then your stuck with a gun you don't want. You should wait until you come across the gun you want.
