I still carry an XSE Commander sometimes. It is still the thinnest, lightest .45 I've used.
The wind blew my coat sleeve as I fired and it would up wound up wedged between the beavertail and the hammer.Quote:

Yep, my usual carry is a New Agent in .45 (3" barrel) in a CTAC. Sometimes I carry a Mil-spec (5" barrel) in an MTAC. On rare occasion I carry my SP101 in a cheapo Fobus holster. I'm sensing a theme here.
Primarily carry a 3-inch 1911 but on occasion will carry a 4 or 5 inch.
My EDC rotation includes a 3" 1911 in a MTAC. Occasionally, I carry my 5" 1911 in a DM Bullard Bodyguard.
Yep... there's a 1911 in the carry rotation, along with a .38 snub and a Kahr CW9.
Haven't had a reliability problem with any of the 3 1911s... no need to tinker with 'em... they haven't worn my patience thin. The TRP gets used about 120 rounds a week in club matches, haven't done more than wipe it down and give it a little lube in 4-5 months now.
I carry one every day, have for two years.
Stainless Officer's 1911 is my go-to concealed carry piece for the last 25 years. Best ergonomics for me of anything I have shot, never a malfunction except bad ammo. I sometimes have to forego the 1911 if I need to deep conceal. Full-size 1911 when I'm doing chores at the ranch.
My Kimber Ultra Covert II is my edc 1911.
