    PT140 low POI

I have a low point of impact with my pt140 pro. 5 in. at 7yrds! The barrel seems to be canted down abit as you look at the pistol assembled from the side. Wear marks confirm this as well. I would hate to start removing material with out knowing for sure. Wondering if it might need a trip to Taurus. Bought it a few yrs ago and have only about 500 rds down the pipe. Wasnt real concerned till now since it will be latest my primary. Thanks in advance.

Any chance of a side view pic? It would be useful to gauge the barrel, sights etc regarding what you mentioned. I am not over familiar with Taurus semi's.

You don't give a POI error - is it an inch - or lots of inches?

Oh and BTW - if I haven't said before -

5 inch huh! That is more than significant.

I wonder too since thinking on this more - is that POI error still as bad if the gun is bench rested on a sandbag? That to me would confirm some genuine sighting problem as against any shooter error.

That is totally unacceptable in my opinion.
Well, either get out the file & start filing down the front sight to raise the POI or send it back and take advantage of that Taurus FIX IT FOR LIFE guarantee.

Good advice on benchresting trial to confirm to eliminate all possibility it's a shooter error. Concur that 5 inches is too much at 7 yards.
