I own all the Kimbers. However, I rarely carry anything but the Kimber Tactical Ultra II 3 inch. Easy to conceal, feels good and shoots great. It is my first choice.

I prefered the term Geometrically perfect when I described my larger parts.

Seriously however. I have owned both the Compact Custom and the Ultra Carry. The Compact was a dream! I loved them both, however I did, and still do, prefer the Compact. The recoil jump of the 3" was noticeablly larger than the 4". That and the extra round/spot for my finger, are the only reasons I prefer the Compact. Just my comfort and preferrence.

My Kimber 3 inch Ultra had many failure to feeds until I sent it back to Kimber. It Hasn't failed once since then (maybe 400 rounds after repair).

I am surprised at the comments about no room on the grip for the little finger. I am 6 foot and 160 pounds so there's not much fat on my fingers but my hands aren't small. I have no problem comfortably fitting 3/4 or more of my pinky on the grip, which is plenty to prevent it slipping off. I have no problem controlling this gun. I even used it in a recent bowling pin competition (timed event) when I could have used my 5 inch Springfield government model. The Ultra is a wonderful gun. I still want the Kimber 4 inch Compact in my collection, but I have no need for the full size grip of the Pro Carry except when I want another round. If I wanted more ammo I'd carry my Springfeild XD Compact, which has about the same length grip as the Ultra.
