Do you make these real nice guns? If so how can I order?

Distinct ''mil'' flavor there Jess - and heck - that is a LOT of stippling altogether.! Much time gone in to that for sure.

Not my personal choice for color but nonetheless a lovely piece of work.

    Very Nice

    EXCELLENT JOB!

That pistol sure won't be slipping around in a wet gun hand.

Man Jess...I don't know of any custom smith that stipples that nicely or that prolifically.

That overall stippling definitely makes any firearm your signature piece.

I'm getting used to that TAN color the more I see it.
I've been seeing it used much more these days on the web & the last time was on a rifle that shaded from Tan into Darker Olive & it was very nicely done.

Another great job Jess. I just highly recommended you to someone in a PM. As pretty as it is though, the color combination "Black & Tan" has an almost knee jerk negative, verging on hateful connotation to Irishmen. There was a group of Pseudo Police (Read THUGS) used by the British Government to attempt to suppress the Irish Independance movement in the 1920's, their uniforms were Black and Tan in color, and they were known as "The Black and Tans." But again it is a beautiful gun from a superb craftsman.

Elray, I provided my own gun as do most others. I don't think Jess provides the base pistol, correct me if I'm wrong Jess. I started with and HIGHLY recommend starting with a Smith & Wesson Scandium Commander. You can see the finished product at www.ontargetcgw.com, select "1911 Gallery," then "Smith & Wesson Bobtail."

Looks great, although I'm not crazy about the texturing on the top of the slide.

Love the frame, bobtail, color (overall) and stipling on the frame though.

Real nice work you done there.

Nice workmanship, but to me it looks like someone Rhinolined that 1911.

Rhino lined! I love it! I did not even think about that but your right, it does. I can do the stippling texture as light or as heavy as someone likes it. The slides are a bit thin, so you have to be a bit careful about how rough to go. I will attach a pic of the back of a HP slide that is a very light texture, almost "frosted" looking.

OnTarget1911, are you taking work? I have a Belgian BHP that just came in last week that need some hardchrome love.

You might want to post these in the 1911 section of AR15.com. We love to admire and critique customized guns.
