Can anyone recommend a good extended mag release for my Glock? After playing with my wife's Gen 4 26 I kinda like the bigger one.

Go to Brownells' wesbite and look for the Vickers Gen4 extended release.

Just a reminder, if it's a carry gun some holsters don't accommodate the longer mag releases and you can end up with a mag bouncing across the floor when you least expect it. That sound of a full mag hitting a tile floor will be hard to forget.
Thanks for the heads up. Hadn't thought about that. It is my carry gun so that kinda changes things.
Good point on the holster. You may have to modify it to accommodate the new mag release.. I have a 3rd Gen G26 with a extended mag release I would bump into things occasionally and it would pop the mag loose.
Just me, but I like the stock mag release for a carry piece... Easily depressed, and sits perfectly for easy access... NC Bullseye makes a great point IMO.. :hand10:
Oops!, I just realized that if your Glock 19 isn't the Gen 4 G19, you might have a good point.. My G19 is the Gen 4 and the new mag release is just right IMO...
Good points made about the dangers of extended mag releases. :yup:
It should also be noted that a long release could eject the mag when you pick the gun up off your bedside stand in the dark. By pushing downward on the gun the mag button could be inadvertently pressed. I've seen this happen in matches a few times.
The Gen 4's mag release button seems fine. As for the Gen 3's, I prefer the one shown below. It's ergonomically correct, not too long or too short. It allows your thumb to slide across the face of the release, and works with every holster I've tried thus far.

Is yours a Gen 3? I put the Vickers mag release on all my Gen 3s and love it. Way easier to operate but specifically designed to be just short enough to not release if you press down on the pistol while sitting on a table or night stand. The factory extended are too long and the standard is too short. The Vickers is right in the sweet spot in between them. My carry G19 has one and I've never had a problem with an accidental mag release.
