I have two 19s that are set up the same. One is carried every day, the other was function/target tested and sits in the safe.

Just bought a ruger LCR .38 sp +P. Guess I'm good.
All men are equal...CC makes us equal-er.
I don't have duplicate carry guns, but have about 11 guns that I do or can rotate for carry none of them duplicates. Some are similar in function, but not two of the same gun.
One being a G19, but it isn't/wouldn't be my first choice in carry gun.
I prefer to have different options of size/caliber depending on where I am going or what I am doing or how I need to dress. The last couple of days I switched back to the SP101 and took the G19 out of the small safe that stores the guns we are most likely to carry. The wife hasn't carried her G19 in probably over a year and I don't see that changing.
If you have one gun that has fit your needs then I see no issue with purchasing another backup of that same gun. But like I said, my needs change, so different options work better for me.
I am not too concerned yet about any drastic measures coming down from fools in Washington, especially as it would relate to handguns, but that doesn't mean they won't.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
