    Cool Odd caliber

How many carry an odd caliber that is not 380, 9, 40, 45, 38/357. Please let's keep this friendly as I'm just wondering. My two favorites are 38 super and 10MM. I always have one or the other on me

I do. But I have never really thought of them as odd, even though I understand the sentiment.

I think you'll find plenty of 10mm fans here (where's Deadguy?).

If I ever happen upon a good deal on a cache of 38 super, I wouldn't hesitate to put that horse in the barn too.

.357 SIG is about as odd as I carry.....and nothing odd about the .38 Super or the 10mm as they are very good self defense rounds.

I've always liked 41 mag interesting round good for all around use. I was lucky enough to get 1500 rounds of 38 super with my government model. Sweet shooting round and when I wanted to retire it from service I wanted it to feel that it was givin a good replacement so I went for 10MM I thought about 357 sig but read some very negative responses about it on the reloading bench and te 10 seemed to have a cult fallowing

I like my Ruger .30 carbine ( Blackhawk) . I can hit what I am aiming at. It is pretty huge for an EDC. Been using it for the long dog walks in winter. It got some good range time last few weeks as I am changing my loads for the M1 Carbine match and was not happy with last years load. I need to empty some brass so I can start over. The revolver shots better than my M1Carbine with these loads. I have to work up a load that both the rifle and revolver like. So far the Ruger likes everything I run thru it. I would say I can shoot the revolver out to about 25-30 yards pretty consistent. 30 carbine is pretty cheap to reload, so I can afford to shoot it alot. Because it is a revolver I don't have to pick my used brass up in the snow ( as I shot outdoors).

It always intrigued me the 30 carbine it got a bad rap mostly do to Korea I read a article that said the reason for most of the complaints was because when the guys with garands would start firing so would the guys with carbines from instinct which caused them to either completely miss or not kill there target mostly miss

I've been know to carry 9mm Makarov on occasion. Not what I'd consider odd, just unusual.
