    Talking S&W Service

    I called S&W 3-4 days ago and ordered the GI recoil spring guide & plug to change my 1911pd over so I don't need to use the wrench
    to take it apart. The guy at customer was great I wasn't sure what all I needed he said just a small guide rod and a recoil spring plug and use the regular spring no reason to spend any extra money it was the same set up they used in the "Gunsite" model. Stuff came today about a 2 minute job all in all a very good experience. Whwn I gave himk my name he still had me in the computer from stuff i had ordered in 2003!

    You know... I have been thinking about doing that to my S&W 1911
    too for the exact reason......
