    I fell in love last night.....H&K P2000Sk

I shot a H&K P2000Sk lastnight. A buddy of mine just bought one a month or so ago and he was in town. So we went to the range and I got to run several magazines through it, it is a .40, and I just fell in love with this gun.

The grip fits my hand better than my XD, which I didn't think was possible, and it just shoots so nice.

I was saving up to buy a different gun but now, I think my focus has shifted to getting my own P2000Sk.

    Concerned about PT-111...

PT-111, I'm concerned about you. It's not normal to fall in love with an inanimate object. I want you to look at the two pictures below - a P2000sk and Marilyn Monroe - and think about what you just said:

    There goes the Bob Tail!

Do yourself a favor and don't shoot anything else until you get the HK this time. It is easy to fall in love with a nice piece and want it and the HK is a very nice piece, I don't blame you for wanting one, I want one also.

ETA: What configuration did your buddy have and what configuration are you wanting it in? You can order it like 9 different way's.

Actually, the P2000 doesn't have near as many variants as the USP. You have the choice of the LEM trigger (basically a light double action, somewhat like a glock) and DA/SA with a decocker.

I've got a P2000 LEM. I like the trigger action. Stock is a bit heavy, and I guess I should stop there.

Well, that's good to know. I was looking at the USP and just figured that the P2000 was the same.

Yeah, you'll get the HK bug if you're not careful! I bought a USPc and haven't wanted to shoot any of my other guns since. Before shooting my HK, my XD felt sooo good in my hand. When I did shoot the XD again the other day it felt so much "worse" than the HK! I was considering a P2000sk, but ultimately chose the USPc because of all the different Variants available, like the other guys have said. Mine's a V1 (DA/SA, decock & safety mounted left side).

Just be careful... I found out that HKs are prone to getting GWS, or Greedy Wife Syndrome. I brought mine home and my wife, who has only shot a couple times EVER, almost stole it from me! That P2000sk is pretty sweet looking though, and I'm thinking about getting one of those next...for the wife.

yeah, that HK bug is a B****. I got my P2000sk LEM in 9mm. I love it. By changing a couple of springs you can lighten the pull to about 5# which is really nice. The LEM takes a while to get used to but it's not too bad. ergonomics ROCK, and workmanship is top notch.
Besides my 1911s this gun quickly became my favorite....

Now I want a USP, USPc, and an HK45....poor me....

My buddies P2000Sk was has the LEM trigger. I found it very easy to get used to.

I really love that gun. I don't know when I will be able to afford one but, as soon as I get it, I will be sure to let all of you know and I will include pictures.

    PT-111,

I have a HK P2000sk SA/DA .40 and I have to say it is my favorite carry and damn't if it doesnt shoot dead on also... I too can say I love this gun. I also previously had (still have) two XD's, glocks, 1911's etc... and this is still my all around favorite carry. Get a good holster for it and you wont want to leave home with out it. I am currently waiting on a new IWB from Kevin at KDholsters, cant wait to get it and try it out. I have been using a fist kydex which is great but I want to give leather a shot.

some of the state and local officers in the office carry the h&k. it seems to be a well made gun. i have shot them at the range and they seem to be well made guns. i can not carry them on the job, so i never taken one home. but,,, i say again they are good guns, just don't own one.
