xds vs shield

now that there is some serious talk about the xds being released in a 9mm i chose to sell my 40 caliber shield, the reason i chose to sell it was since i already stock a lot of 9mm i didnt want to have to stock up on 40 cal. I am not sure which one on i want either the shield in a 9mm or the xds in a 9mm that is suppose to be announced during the SHOT show. What would make either better than the other? opinions

An XDs in 9mm might be my next handgun purchase when it comes out, but we shall see. I don't believe there's any evidence that Glock is preparing to make a single stack 9mm, unfortunately

There has been talk of it happening. There has also been talk of a 45 ACP in the 26-27 frame. At least this is what we're hearing via the Store, and their Industry contacts.

Having reviewed both last Summer, I own the XDs. I would buy and be very happy with either the XDs or Shield when it comes out in 357 Sig. I have no interest in another single stack polymer 9mm.

Really? Asking which would be best when the XDs in 9mm has yet to be released? How can anyone make a considered opinion? I have and like the Shield 9mm. I don't like the XDs in .45, I know that. (I prefer the G36 to the XDs). Just pick one...or both...but as already said, one is made in the USA and the other isn't.

Do you have a link to anything that backs this up? The only talk I have heard about this was from Knuckleheads on the web; saying "yes" or "no" to the Great Mystery. So I'll throw my own knuckleheaded opinion out there: "No." Reason why? I read it on the internet so it must be true.
