    A G30 it is.

It's official. I put a G30 on 90 day layaway at my favorite LGS. I was amazed at the huge crowd in the store and how few guns were left. I got the last new G30 in the place. This store advertises all the time in the Nashville area as a "gun show everyday". They have been barely able to meet demand at this point. Just a hand full of long guns left. Only a small amount of compacts and sub compacts left. Little if any ammo on the shelf. No used guns at all. Guys and gals I have to tell you this store prior to the gun ban talk was always busy but the stock was great. It was a mere shell of what it was even right after Christmas.

no different than 2008 except we have docomented proof that the Socialists are coming for our guns. I have just been sitting back and watching
the chaos, as I did all my "shopping" back in 2008. I have also checked a couple of stores off my "won't ever darken their door again" list as they
have increased prices on everything to ridiculous levels. We gun owners have a very long memory, and when and if things die down to normal levels,
they are going to wonder what happened to their good customers that came in BEFORE Connecticut. The newbie frenzy gun buyers will be no where to be found.

Congrats on the G30....witha 10 round mag as standard, it will probably squeak in under the radar of any high cap mag ban.

Oh man, you are in for a treat!

The G30 is arguably the best compact .45 carry gun you can get. 10+1 rounds of .45acp, extreme reliability, excellent accuracy, and very comfortable to shoot. Can you tell I'm a huge fan of the G30?

Makes a nice companion to a G21SF as well...

Good choice. You are truly lucky you could find one to buy. There aren't any around here.

I have an XDs and a G36, but they wouldn't work as well for home defense. The XDs does have a light rail, but the G30 is a lot better gun for HD than either of my .45s.

If they had one I would have gotten it. I was lucky to get the standard model.

Good decision! I went with the 36 but I think either are good solutions!

I find the G30 to be a very soft shooter. Good choice!
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.
