    +1 on the Federal HST. Thats my go to SD ammo when I can get it, followed by Gold dot as well.
    I think guns are like insurance. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

    Nothing but Federal HST in my Kimber or any of my carry guns!

    I have been reading on the hst's, and I think I will be ordering some to try. Most of the ones I find online are the hst +P, are these ok for my aluminum framed kimber?

    It'll hold up just fine as long as you don't go too crazy with, shooting hundreds of rounds of the +P's at a time. What I do is shoot some +P's and then go to standard pressure loads for the rest of my range time.
