    Anybody carrying an SP101 Concealed?

So I've been carrying concealed for a couple years now, usually my G26 or Kel-Tec PF9 when it's really hot out and I dress light, sometime my M&P FS in winter but always wanted a revolver. Was originally looking at air weights but due to availability, and price I would up with a Ruger SP101, 2-1/4". I'm glad I did! I made the decision figuring it would be a fun range/OC gun and would fill the revolver void in my collection, but for the hell of it threw it in an old N82 Tactical I had for my G26 and WOW! Why do people complain about the weight of these things? It carries great! I already on advise of others put on the Hogue Monogrip which is very nice but noticed after the fact that I can buy high dollar (looking) inserts for the originals and they look great. This is my first Ruger but I am VERY impressed with it.

Also, for the guys who carry them, What holsters are you using?

I'm enjoying mine a great deal. I've got the 3" barrel and honestly, as heavy as folks say it is, it's lighter than the semis I carry. Hopefully, I'm picking up my GP100 Wiley Clapp at my FFL tomorrow--that's another that folks say weighs a "buttload."

I carry it all the time. 5 - 357 magnums should take care of business. I use a N82 holster also. I might cut the part above the belt line so its easier to grasp. Really doesn't weigh with a good belt.

I carry My SP101 every day AIWB. I put the wood inserts on the grip and then changed to the Hogue Grip. The Hogue feels better to me. I also put the XS Standard Dot Night Sight on. While sitting at the Shop one day I took a Rotary Tool and shaped the Trigger to fit me better. After that Flitz Metal Polish shined up the whole Gun. I back it up with a LCR357 in the off hand pocket. Ten Rounds of 357 plus Reloads seams comforting to me.

I also love my SP101. I have the 3" model. I almost bought a 2-1/4 with a bobbed hammer this weekend. Kind of wish I did now.

There are thousands (& thousands) of people who EDC a Ruger SP101. It is the pitbull-tough, anvil-durable version of the j-frame sized .357 mag revolver. The only people who don't like 'em, have never owned 'em!

Yep! I do on many occasions.
    No problemo...

On most pistolas, it's not the barrel that can cause concealment problems, it's the grip.
