Smile Just bought new M&P 22Lr

Looking forward to getting to know this gun at the range. watched a lot of review videos and read up on it. It seems to be a sweet pistol that lets you practice without draining the bank account. Hoping to get the M&P 9mm when I can.

Great little gun. I Have several hundred rounds through mine. Not one FTF/FTE with bulk federal. It does come packed in grease. Make sure to completely break down and clean all the grease out. Reamove the take down pin and take the mag apart as grease is everywhere. I did that once before and after I shoot it.

Good luck on finding .22LR ammo, seems everyone has sold out and don't
    know when they'll have more.
I don't shoot my BuckMark any more till I see some .22LRs show up on the
    shelves.
I'm sure you'll like the M&P. Will be watching for a range report.

I'll be trying to get to the range as soon as I can. Not sure when, but soon I hope. I'll be trying remington 22's, and then, if I can find them, CCI's. Everything I watched and read, says CCI's are the best choice. Thoughts?

...CCI makes great ammo...when the shootin's over, and you have it clean...a loading of Stingers will make it ready for defense...or Remington Yellow Jackets...whichever you can find...pretty expensive for just plinking...last CCI Stingers I bought were at Walmart for about $6 for the box...

Sweet! Congrats. I looked at the M&P right after Christmas at Academy Sports. I think it was after New Years. But, Academy had a huge sale on it... $299. Came back the next day and they were out.....

Bought one a couple days ago.Looking to get a new 22lr for training new shooters on a type of platform they may carry,Downside is it only ships with one magazine and everything is sold out so no spares for awhile.
I fired about 100 rounds and gun shoots very accurate including consistent off hand 3" groups on a 6" plate at 25 yards with my old eyes and disabilities

Great little gun. I have had mine since last summer. When I first started shooting it, I had problems with it cycling Winchester bulk ammo. I switched to Federal bulk and it gobbles them right up. I also tried CCI mini mags with no failures. I have about 1500 rounds through it now and it's still going strong.

CCI MiniMags are my first choice, Rem's gave me a fit in the Marlin 60 and the High Standard Sport King with FTF.
The Buck Mark has only had a steady diet of CCI's and never hic-cupped.

Other than mag capacity, is their a difference b/t the 10 rd and 12 rd?

I'm thinking of getting one for plinking. Not sure if I want that or a Glock conversion.

    Just bought new M&P 22Lr

Glad to see you went with it! (I had read your other thread recently). Please keep us updated, as I'm really interested to hear your thoughts as time goes.

I've got a lot of trigger time on my SR22 but have been thinking about selling it to get the m&p 22 to compliment my m&p compact .40.

Great gun... just like it's cousin the 15-22... congrats!
CCI is indeed the best choice for 22LR... the Federal bulk is pretty good as well.
Remington... not so much. It's rare that I get through a full mag of Rems without some kind of malfunction.

    enjoy!
