I did a lot of online reading and came upon the SR9 as I was looking for a HD weapon; it got glowing reviews and was within my budget without sacrificing performance. The SR40 got the same glowing reviews, and after how great it was to shoot the SR9, it was a no brainer to check out the SR40/SR40c.

On a good news note, I got my SR40c last night! A buddy of mine was helping me scout the local shops and spotted one for me. I ran down there as fast as I could. Now to go to the other store to get my deposit back.. ..

Just gotta wait for my Ozarks holster to come in, and possibly check out a Remora as well. But happy as hell to have the 40c, now just have to make time to break it in.

Make sure you break it in. Make sure it is reliable. If anything is going to break you want it to break at the range, not at the life and death situation.

Absolutely. I plan on running at least 200 rounds through it before considering it viable for SD

Ruger SR40c? Good pick! My son-in-law has a SR9c & I tried to run it's guts out ('cause he didn't take my advice and buy a G19). That pistol laughed at me, flawlessly! BTW, you might want to check-out Galloway Precision, they're the latest Ruger LC9, SR9, SR40 gurus and I hear GREAT things about their gear. Again, congratulations!
