Since you mentioned your preference for either a .40 or .45 I would recommend a G27. It's small but still carries the wallop of the .40 round.

When contemplating a purchase, I first decide purpose and then try to identify characteristics that will best fit that purpose. Then I try to narrow down firearms based on the best fit with those characteristics. Purpose driven purchase. Unless it is just for range or fun, then I get whatever it is I want.

Look at the entire CZ lineup. All are pretty sweet guns.

Yes to CZ! The PCR, P01 are not pocket guns, but are amazing cc guns. The RAMI (9mm or .40) is a bit smaller, but maybe not pocket size. I carry the steel frame compact.

+1 for XDs and Kahr too.

My PPS .40 is just a bit large for pocket carry, but some pull it off.

If you don't have a Glock, borrow one and shoot it. If you discover that you're not a hater, get one.

Consider how you want to carry your firearm, OWB, IWB, pocket, ankle, etc. Then figure out which gun will fit the bill. Preferably a gun that can be carried several ways. Finally get the gun that's available at this time unless waiting a possible couple of months is okay with you. I have an M&P 40C ordered & paid for but was told it could take as long as 3 months for delivery. As I'm already armed I can wait (although I hate to do it). It was a good deal with an LEO/Security/Military discount & nobody could come close to matching it. The extras were also good with this deal - Trijicon night sights & 3 mags.

The new Glock 30s is just what you need. 45 cal. 10 round cap. about the size of the baby glocks.
