I bought it from a shop where the owner was a gun smith, someone had put a healthy down payment on it and wanted a reliability job; then never picked it up so I got a good deal, just before the '94 ban.

The biggest problem I hear is reliability, particularly feeding. I have run probably 5-6,000 rounds through it with no problems, because it uses very thin grip panels it is only slightly wider than a standard 1911. I love it, as I posted I carry it every day it is my EDC.

It's gotta be a metal pistol for me. I once foolishly bought a ruger lcp. It was way too light and too large of a caliber for my lack of experience. Also metal pistols don't seem so toy-like. There is a lot more beauty and craftsmanship to metal ones. The one thing I've seen missing in this thread is wood grips for the handguns. I also prefer wood stocks on my long firearms, but that isn't exactly thread relevant.

Nothing is sexier than a metal frame with wood grips. Metal guns feel better to me, and the weight smoothes them out while shooting. That being said, I carry a Kahr P380 and shot best with my XDm 4.5 9mm. Wait, which side was I on again????

Nothing wrong with poly guns owned them in the past I don't have any now. I do however have 14 steel handguns.

Sure do miss my old Glock 26. Won't sell the next one.

I own a polymer ruger 22/45 pistol .... it's certainly not going to be a family heirloom ... I have no idea the allure of plastic pistols

Weight (less) is more important to me than how pretty it is for a concealed handgun. Nobody sees it anyway. I am not sure what all various models are all steel but I know that ALL of them have some steel. Nobody can pass through a metal detector or carry near an MRI machine.
    Yoda, I am, yes.

Well I wasnt just speaking of looks. For me it seems like a metal frame gun just feels better in my hand. I realize all have some metal in them. Not sure what brought up metal detector or MRI.
