Anyone else prefer metal guns over polymer?
Ok I'm just curious here. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with poly guns so please dont take it that way. But for whatever reason when I hold a gun theres just something about a metal gun that to me feels so much nicer. Anytime I make the comment to friends or other that I really would prefer not to have a polymer gun I get read the riot act and treated like I'm a complete idiot. Am I the only odd ball out there that prefers the heavy outdated metal guns?

I do like the polymer guns that I have, but I can say that I'm looking to replace one of them with a stainless steel version.
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.

Call me old school if you wish but guns should be made of metal and holsters of leather. Of all of the handguns I own I only have three made of plastic, two Kel-Tecs and one Kahr. All of the rest are steel and one alloy gun.

Nope, being fond of metal framed guns is not a sign of mental retardation. But I've gotta' ask, do your friends treat you like you're a complete idiot about other subjects? 'Cause then know you better than...we do.

Nope because they are afraid I'll club them with one of my heavy metal guns.

There's always that. Yet most poly-framed guns have...steel slides (ouch!).

I think people that don't like metal are weird.

I like my Glocks, but there is something to be said about holding a all metal gun like a 1911, it just feels right.

I used to be that way myself. I was a BIG steel or "all metal" gun person... then I had kids and polymer began calling my name.
There is something nice about an all steel gun though.

What do kids have to do with it? I actually prefer the sound of their heads bumping the steel butt of my guns on my hip when they run into me at full speed

Limatunes, why is that? Just the cost?
