I was wandering if anyone who purchased a Sig P238 now also owns a Sig P938 and if so what reason is made to when you carry the .380 instead of the 9mm version? If you had a P238 then bought a P938 what did you do with your P238 if you did not keep it? (Give it to your wife, son, daughter for example).
The reason I picked the P238 over the P938 was the P238 is slightly smaller and I carry (for the most part) in my right front pocket using one of two holsters. I have a Crossbreed Mini Tuck as well which I use from time to time. I am thinking of a another pistol which would be IWB only. I like the S&W Shield 9 but I will most likely stick with another Sig (just not sure which one yet).
I've got both and keeping both! Why? Cause I love guns! Seriously, the 938 will be my EDC once broken in. I like the 238 for special occasions when dress demands something smaller. Hell, might even carry both at once!
I bought a P238 for my wife. I liked it so much that I bought a P938 for myself. The 238 is noticeably lighter than the 938, but the 938 is still very carriable. I bought the 938 to have a little more power in my EDC vs. the P238. They are both fantastic pistols.
purchased the 238 after getting the Ruger lcp , did not like the trigger pull on the lcp ..
really like the 238 ,
picked up the 938 because how much I like the 238 , but wanted a little more firepower.
the 938 is my EDC , and the 238 is when I need to pocket carrey ..
The only difference in shooting the two is the size of the "bang" when you pull the trigger. The 938 is about 5% bigger than the 238.
The 238 is 5.5" long, 3.9" high and 1.1" thick. The 938 is 5.9" long, 3.9" long and 1.1" thick and weighs 16oz vs 15.2oz for the 238.
