Would you feel comfortable carrying these??
Yes I would probably feel better carrying those than a new one.
Those may be older, but hardly antiques. They were made at the height of revolver perfection. If I didn't fear getting a hernia, I'd gladly carry one.
Those aren't antiques and yes I would feel fine carrying any of those revolvers. I have a 4" Ruger Police Service Six that I put into use as a truck gun everyday.
Sure. What would be wrong with carry one of those.
VERY!!!!
Both of those are workhorse wheel guns and if I was looking for a wheel gun to carry I would shop for an older one over a newer one.
Absolutely.
I've got 2 of the Ruger Six Series guns. Both 2 3/4" one is a Speed Six and the other is a Security Six. No problem carrying either one.
The Ruger Six Series is far from being considered antiques. They were manufactured from 1972-1988 and chambered in 3 calibers (9mm, 38 Special and .357 Mag.). My oldest son is older than the oldest Ruger Six Series gun, and he's far from an antique!
I sure would - my EDC is a smith 642!
I own a stainless security-six 357 4 inch bought in 1983.I'd carry it anyday.Cross draw works for me. I also have an older one charter house in 44 spl it weighs 21 oz unloaded.
This is a sweet shooter as it has pachmyer grips.it throws a 315 grain hollow point 815 fps and it hits hard. Those are my older revolvers.Last year I purchased s+w bodyguard
in 38spl. My wishlist is s+w model 29 Dirty Harry's 44 magunum.
Good lord no those are extremely dangerous!!! You need to send those to Jbum's dangerous weapons disposal as soon as possible contact me for info!! :22a:
Absolutely! And since bmcgilvray is away on travel, I'll add a proxy vote for him as well.
Looks like a Ruger Security Six and a S&W Model 19? Or is the S&W an N-frame? The designs may not be new, but those are very rugged and reliable guns which fire a proven round, the .357 magnum.
you guessed it model 19 and a Security Six
Waiting for bmcgilvray, but yes, you are in good hands
