Agreed, and I have both. In fact I took my new G27 to the range today and like it a lot. There is no clear winner in the Glock .v. M&P debate, they're similar but different, it is a matter of personal preference.

Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.

I have both and think everyone should have one of each too.

Since you asked, here is my M&P40c. Been getting a lot of holster time lately.

I have my M&P45c and a Glock 19 that is technically mine but will transfer to the missus when she gets her CPL (stupid MI pistol purchase/transfer laws). They are both great guns. I prefer the ergonomics of the M&P, she likes the feel of the Glock better. I've had zero problems with either of them. Really down to personal preference.

The 40c is a good choice, but definitely has more recoil. I considered that but I also have lingering effects from a pretty nasty wrist fracture about 15 years ago and the hard snap of the .40 isn't pleasant. The cool thing about the 40c is that you can convert it to 9mm or .357 Sig with minimal expense.

Someone will point this out so I'll do it first. Same drill with .40 cal Glocks.

I've never seen an M&P40L. Is that a custom job? I really like it!

That's a factory model. It is made in 9mm and .40, 5 inch barrel, basically their answer to the G34/35. As of a few weeks ago, there is also the new M&P CORE model that is designed for competition use and comes set up for mounting an optic on.
