Appendix. I initially preferred 3-3:30 (different holster) but after trying the 5.11 holster I really dislike going back. It really is a fantastic holster.

The flashlight loop really is a great idea.

I'd also like to have a magazine holder option in the same place.

Filled in the lettering on my M&P9c. I used my wife's white nail polish and after about 3 coats I ended up with this.

And I will say the trigger on the Shield is 10x better than the fullsize trigger.

Check out a recently produced full size or compact, my 9c's trigger feels identical to the Shield.

I'm sorry. Y'all don't hit me or anything. I've watched this thread for several days now. Just gotta add a little comic relief. And, it's not thread drift at all. It's undeniably a genuine Smith & Wesson M&P. There were a few differences in appearance when Smith & Wesson was crankin' 'em out back in 1926.

My grandpa has one of those :)

It was made by the owner of this company Personal Security Systems Kydex Holsters. About 4 yrs ago, I was one of his first paying customers and he made sure it was "custom fit". I wrote a pretty extensive critique on it on another S&W M&P forum. I do own a hybrid (Old Faithful), but this one is just as comfortable and has a more positive retention. In other words, it's an excellent rig and I love it.

You need to go to Apex Tactical, buy their AEK trigger, the Apex Hard Sear for the 45, and the Apex USB. You will be amazed at the difference in trigger press, smoothness and accuracy. Outstanding.

How much did it run you for the whole enchilada Apex setup?

Nice 45, put a light on that rail and you have a HD handgun that even the most hardcore 1911 fanboys can't argue is insufficient. Actually, no they probably would still but anyway...

Yes! I have the Apex Hard Sear and the USB arriving at my door shortly. Really looking forward to the result.
