I looked at the 3in cdp ii but it was 300 more and the Sig just felt better. Don't know why that was.

The 1911 bug is a powerful little critter, to the best of my knowledge, once bitten by it, there is no cure. You may have periods where it is in remission, but it is there....waiting for the chance to rear it's little head again!

I really don't see barrel length as an issue for carry. Especially if your carrying IWB. The grip size is going to be the same, whether it is a 3" sub compact model, a 4-4 1/4 " Commander size or a 5" full size. It isn't the barrel you have issues printing with, it is the grip of the gun.

Take down is just a matter of practice. Do it enough and you will get to the point of being able to break down and reassemble quickly.

I had a kimber, carried it and liked it, hated that bushing tool. My buddy carries it daily

First trip to the range with my new Springfield Armory Range Officer. Slow fire at 7 yards. Love this gun!
