Does any one here carry a 25 acp.

I was just wondering if any one still carries a 25 acp auto pistol? You know the Saturday Night Special like the Colt Vest Pocket, Raven 25, Lorcin 25 you get my drift. I have one that I carry once in a while as a BUG to my BUG but not as a primary. Thanks in advance.

A 25 is great - you know it's strictly close in lobotomy work -- the main thing is the gun isn;t a jam-a-matic

You beat me to it. I'd love to have one of the Colts.

I carried a 25 Jetfire back in the 70s also.

I have a Lorcin in the safe. Had it for years. Never been fired.

    Make me an offer.

Man, it's creepy to find your own picture in Google images results...

Always wanted a Colt 25, but I used to carry a beretta 25acp with the tip up barrel. With all the just as small bigger better calibers now I would carry something else. I never could understand why the 25 ammo was always so high..?

I occasionally carry my 1918 Colt model 1908 25ACP. It's by far my favorite gun! A joy to shoot and they make Gold Dots for 25ACP now!

I believe the going rate for Saturday night special is still $25.00. ;)

not that the 25acp totally sucks,.. but it is a very very close range caliber.. im talking assassination distances. Ive seen so many tests and reports that show a well selected 22lr be more effective than the 25acp. Best thing it has going is the compact size and the reliability of centerfire primers.

If I carry a 25 it is always loaded with FMJ ammo. I have shot clean through 2 full gallons of water and have the bullet go 2 inches into a piece of wood.
Not that I would use the 25 as a primary but it is still better than nothing.

Thanks. They are built like a tank. It's not good as a defensive round, but there are times where you need small, and something is better than nothing. It's not one I break out often, as it sits in the cabinet next to a matching unfired 1981 Colt Series 70 1911, so the 1918 25 is at the opposite end of the scale - but they look great together. :)
