    M&P pistols, yes. J-frames, no.

Lots of 1911 pistols under the glass is what I see in most LGS...

GunBroker has a few listed at auction: dozens of S&W M&P 9mm pistols, and about 100 S&W J-frame revolvers.

Not exactly sitting at your LGS, but they can easily be shipped there.

I've seen a few but it's not old times. The shops are getting a bit too proud of them as well. I keep walking in with expectations of a beautiful, stainless 649 in 357 just waiting to go home to my 638. I keep being disappointed.

LGS must have just gotten a large shipment in, stopped by yesterday and they actually had Shields in stock, plenty of M&Ps in all calibers from what I could see.

Haven't seen a Smith revolver at an LGS in a long time.. unfortunately.

Lots of revolvers and high end 1911's at the LGS.

Pretty much anything "hi-cap" and semi auto is gone.

    Only Shotgun ammo.

I've been keeping one eye open for a 642 for the first lady, and have not seen any lately. Full size semi autos (including M&Ps) and longer barreled revolvers can be had, but anything small is like hen's teeth.
