Nickel Revolvers (AKA - "I may be developing a problem...")

A few weeks ago, I picked up a nickel Model 19-3. Well, thanks to a trade on yesterday, I know have another classic nickel revolver that was, just like my M19, born in the 1970s. It is a Colt Detective Special (3rd Variant). I am afraid I may be developing a sickness.

REALLY nice wheel guns! The Model 19 was the first revolver I carried as a cop and I have a soft spot for them. The Colt "Dick" Special is a true classic and looks great in that finish. I tip my hat to you for a very fine brace of six-shooters.

Yep. I feel like all I need now is a glass of Scotch and a fedora and I'll be ready to take on the mob in 1950s Las Vegas!

Yep, you've got the sickness. Look on the bright side. At least your not spending your money on Glock's!

    Those are nice revolvers

I happen to have the same two revolvers as you do, but not in nickel. Mine are both the more common blued finish. If I had ever found these in nickel, I would have bought them. I really like yours.

I wouldn't say you have a sickness...some people have an affinity for fine wine you may have one for nickel revolvers.
All joking aside, very nice looking addition to your collection.

You're one sick puppy! Both of those revolvers are very useful and look absolutely great!

When I was 13-14 I admired the nickel models in the Colt and Smith & Wesson catalogs but by the time I was an adult I grew out of it and thought nickel looked ghastly. Now that I'm older I've reverted to my childhood and admire the classic nickel models, gathering in a few and likely to pick up a few more.

I'm having no trouble using them. A .41 Magnum Smith & Wesson Model 57 has now seen two seasons of deer hunting holster use. Got a deer with it last year. The finish is more durable that blue and cleans up to be perfect after one is finished using the gun.

If they give you a rash I will dispose of them for you. Wouldn't want you to suffer!! Those are sweet to look at and they shoot great. Top one is my choice if I can only have 1!!

Gonza wouldn't call it a problem , just a love for the finer things in life. Really nice revolvers as whith the others posted in this thread. Makes me want to start looking myself.

    I've always wanted a S&W 4" Hvy barrel model 10 or a Stainless m64 with 4" hvy barrel.
