All of sudden with the Nicaragua/Contras situation, the government slowly started introducing minor changes to the firearms' law and people sat back and said "don't worry, it's not that bad". That's how it started. Now after a few years of allowing the government to introduce little pieces of legislation here and there, they are finally ready to land the final blow and soon there will be PROHIBITION.

I know most of you in the US are not worried about Obama's gun control, but I urge you to fight for every inch of your rights or you will regret it later.

Don't rest so easy and assured that things will turn out ok for firearms freedoms here in the USA. We can NEVER rest easy about such things.
The clowns in government office see the solution to everything is write more laws, creating the ever-mounting morass of legal handicaps that we citizens must labor under.

STATE'S RIGHTS RULE and should be INVIOLATE. Feds butt out!

I have a bad feeling on the so called "gun control" proposed bills that will be introduced in Congress. I especially have a bad feeling concerning Senator Feinstein's proposed "Assault Weapons Ban 2013" which also caps magazines at 10 rounds.

Reasons include but not limited to:
    * Harry Reid assured her it will come to a vote.

    * We already had such a ban(for 10 years) and it never went to the Supreme Court.

    * The school shooting in December, 2012.

    * The so called "gun control" bills that either are being proposed or enacted in some states.

    * The fact that the so called "gun control" laws already on the books are for the most ineffective yet they are law.

    * Neither party has a "lock" in Congress which makes it unpredictable.

    * The fact the President Obama won the last election leads some Democrats to believe that they do not have to worry so much about being voted out when they come up for reelection.

    * Some members of Congress are willing to "throw themselves on the sword" for President Obama.

    * The President and Vice President are using any and all over and under board tactics to convince members of Congress to pass these bills.

    * Congress has never been adverse to making reactionary laws so the citizens get to "feel good" that see they did something to solve the problem.

However we must continue to fight the fight as our freedom depends upon it..........

Those who want the guns will never stop coming after them. Whether it's on the state or federal level, those who want the guns will never rest, never stop introducing legislation.

There will never be a time where gun owners can sit back and take a break for a while. The gun grabbers are relentless. They keep chipping away at it in hopes that every now and then, there will be a moment of inattention on the part of the gun owners which allows another baby step of new gun legislation to become law.

When I think back and think of all the gun issues I've gotten involved in, financially and also by doing leg work, networking and contacting legislators over the last thirty years in order to fight back the gun grabbers, I really get tired. It's been a significant financial investment and it's tiresome. But you can't give up the fight. You can't get tired of calling and writing politicians. You can't be cheap and not donate to pro-gun causes. Because if you do, they will surely succeed in eventually banning guns here too.

Oh yeah... Pay attention to who you vote for! Elections have consequences. And those consequences aren't always apparent. Even local elections lead to things which have negative consequences for gun owners later on down the road.

Unlike the AWB of 1994 technology has advanced to a point that has galvanized gun owners like never before and we are not going to abide by any infringement on the second amendment,They want to ban guns because we are "The People" that will be hanging them for TREASON if they continue trying to trample on the Constitution

What bothers me about Obama and the gun ban coming up, look at how Obama was elected and how many people will follow the pied piper. They are doing it now.

I really want to believe this but unfortunately I'm more inclined to believe that we will all hang seperately.

If only we would hold crimes against the Constitution to be a treasonable offense, and treat it like that.

Short of an amendment process, all of this sideways infringement is exactly what most of us are saying it is. And short of is forcing such crimes to be treated accordingly, we're going to never be out from the threat of such liberty-hating people.

We have visited Costa Rica several times. In recent years, as the ban on guns progressed, we began to see more and more armed guards inside stores, at gas stations, etc. It seems now that about everywhere you go there will be a sleepy eyed fellow wandering around with an old revolver on his hip. So what was gained?

The attack on our gun rights is but just one of many attacks on our rights. Read the executive orders Obama has signed into law, read the changes made to the NDAA, the ATT and the Patriot Act, all are tools to further restrict our rights. The DHS, BATFE, TSA, FBI have been allowed to set many policies and procedures that are in direct conflict to our rights and allowed to continue to do so unabated. The Supreme Court is fast becoming just another lackey for Obama, all it takes is one more Obama appointment.

Folks while we have been defending the attacks on the 2nd Amendment, the Obama administration has trashed our 1st, 4th and 5th Amendment rights without as much as a whimper from the people.

The gun ban is the testing grounds for future attacks on our rights. IMO, if the federal law is approved banning guns and there is no march on the White House, America, as we knew it prior to Obama, is history. We will become nothing but mere "Subjects" of Obama and his administration.

We as a people need to take action and actually do something instead of just talking about doing something.

The problem with gun control is that drugs are already illegal.

In spots where public carry has been dramatically curtailed, then the loss has been a dramatic reduction in the ability of people to defend themselves. If only one or two "sleepy-eyed fellows" were put there as so-called replacement, then it's highly likely little has been gained in such places, given how relatively simple it would be for one or two aggressive assailants to take out such "sleepy-eyed" protection.

Yup. Actions are what will change the trends and oust the liberty-haters. Little else will.

We are worried about our gun rights and all of the other rights protected by the constitution. We know Obama is the "devil in disquise" and we fight to keep them tooth and nail. He's not fooling anyone that paying attention. There are far too many people in government that view the constitution as a out of date piece of paper that needs to be done away with. These same people will swear on the Bible to preserve protect and defend the constitution when they are sworn in to office, having been sent there by the dumbest among us, The low information voters who don't care about anything except where their next freebie is going to come from. Our Country is being destroyed from the inside out by this cancer of stupidity. We know the score and are doing all we can to peacefully stop it. So if your not a member of the NRA or some other gun group that is in this fight, join one and support it, please.
