Rear Dot fell out of Shield 9..

Has this happened to anyone else ? the rear white dot fell out of the sight. Will S&W require the entire pistol be sent back for a fix ? Maybe I should just buy some night sights.......?

Have had that happen on most of my guns at one time or another. I bought a small bottle of white acrylic paint in the craft section at WalMart. Clean the area with alcohol then using a toothpick, place a small drop of paint in the hole.

All in the same week, the front sight dot fell out of my Shield, my dads Shield and his SR9... put white house paint on all of them.

It has been mentioned on several other posts on this forum, but I would recommend bright sights.

Happened on my front sight. I bought some testers in red and white. I tried the red first but didn't like it so I went with white. But the front sight is now a light shade of pink. Cowboy up and be decisive. Now is your moment to be clear of vision. Otherwise you may end up with pink sights. Just sayin......

The same thing happened to me with my front sight. I called S&W and they told me to apply testors paint with a toothpick as others have described above.

Just last week I noticed the white dot missing out of my Shields front sight. What can I say...after reading several reports of the same, I wasn't surprised.

I can honestly say I've never had this happen to me before. I have shot the crap out of some Sigs, Beretta's, and Glocks to boot. I now have a Shield in 9mm and hope it does not become the first pistol to do this.
