    S&W Bodyguard .380 VS Karh P380

Hey guys I'm looking at 2 different carry guns. I actually look at three but the sig p238 is just way out of my price range. I see no point in spending $700 on a .380 ACP when I can get a good 9mm. But I am in the market for a good reliable .380 for concealed carry. I have been looking at the bodyguard from S&W for a while and have seen good and bad. It holds great in my hands as do all S&W Semi-Auto's. But I can never find a Karh P380 to hold and compare. I was wondering what the people who carry these firearms think of them.

I have a SW Bodyguard and like it. Have had no problems with it. The laser is a bit weak and cheesy but it works. It shoots great. Better than I expected.
It is not my primary carry, but a nice pocket gun. And I agree with you about the sig. Nice gun, but why pay that much for a .380

How does the trigger stack up to the others like lcp?

Gun control isn't about guns...it's about control. It also makes criminals out of otherwise law abiding citzens.

I have an lcp too. I personally like the trigger on the bodyguard better. But that is me. They both have a long travel but that is normal for "pocket guns".

I do like the fact that the bodyguards slide locks back after the last round. Again that is my opinion.

That's one thing I pike about the bodyguard and the kahr is the slide lock feature.

I added a rubberized grip to mine. It improved the "feel" of it a lot.
Like I said. I have a LCP too. I am thinking about trading it for something else.

Sorry I couldn't help with an opinion on the kahr.

That's ok. That's why I was asking for both. You've helped me. Thank you

I have a fairly new Bodyguard. I've got about 400 rounds through it with no problems -- Federal 90 gr Hydra-Shok and Magtech 95 gr.

I guess I need to adjust the laser (although it isn't very convenient to use -- especially if you are "in a hurry"). Using the laser I was consistently low right. At least the iron sights are accurate.

How's the shooting "feel" compare between the LCP and Bodyguard? I've got a LCP for pocket carry at work, but I hate shooting it. Hurts like hell.

The bodyguard didn't kick too bad. I put 100 through it my last range trip and was fine after.

I agree about the lcp. Couldn't do it with that one. I like them both, but favor the bodyguard.

No experience with the bodyguard but my P380 was a total lemon. My lgs ended up giving me a credit which i used towards the Sig P238 which i was very happy with.

Lasers aren't necessary. They r useless when "you're in a hurry" ad u said. Self defense distance is point and shoot usually.

The lcp is a hard to shoot gun. I shot it once and hated it. Not a fan of the lc9 either. Good gun, just not for me.
