    My new G29 baby!!

    Hi all,

Just bought a new G29(Gen 4 - Manufactured 2-6-13) and this is one sweet little gun. I sold my sig p220 compact for it (plus a profit) and I could not be happier. I had a Glock 10 mm 15 + years ago and something about it works better for me. The sig seemed to pull shots to the left and just did not aim naturally for me at least. idk.. Either way I love it!!

Question...I purchased a pinky extension from (pearson?) but it was for a G29..(did not mention gen 4) Will this fit my Gen 4 mags? I have a feeling that it will not so any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks and I added a pic of her for kicks!!

That's sexy! I want to dive into the 10mm Glocks someday. I'd build a 20C with an SF frame!

I *think* the difference between the gen 3 and gen 4 mags is the release, not the baseplate. IIRC you can use gen 1,2,3,4 mags in a gen 1,2,3; but you must use gen 4 mags in a gen 4. That would tell me the baseplate is the same. Not 100%, just my $.02

From my understanding the older mags are fine in Gen 4 pistols as long as the magazine release has not been reversed.

I believe the extension SHOULD work with no issues. The 10mm is one of those rounds that should be more popular than it is. Properly load (meaning to its potential and not 40 auto strength) it is a sledge hammer of a round. Congrats on a really good purchase!

Nice! As far as magazines, I have two G23 gen3 mags that I use in my G27gen4 and they work just fine. I'm right handed so the mag release isn't swapped.

Thanks Ghost... I LOVE the 10mm..I have owned one 15+ years ago and I fell victim to the hype about it not sticking around. I should have know better. The g29 can act like a .40 - bear gun, so for me it's the perfect combination.

Thanks for all the advice..I worried that the base plate would be "shorter" because the gen 4 is like an sf version and therefore a reg 29 mag base plate would not work.. I will post back when they get back to me.

I have the Pearce +0 magazine extension on my G26 magazines. It works great and doesn't make it any more difficult to conceal.
