    Case of the Clapp

    De-horn,flush & recessed slide stop ,flush & 11 deg crown barrel , Modified EGW barrel bushing ,Greider trigger,EGW ejector , Wilson Combat thumb safety , Fit new EGW grip safety,modified 10-8 rear sight ,action work, slightly dulled 25lpi checkering , custom mix of Graphite black & Sniper Grey Cerakote.

    That is a pretty well thought out pistol.

    I find a "U" shaped rear sight less effective than a square one, and the front sight seems to be a round gold dot - which tends to shoot to the light. But if that floats your boat, it's your choice.

    Presumably it shoots well.

    That's a really beautiful 1911. I've never heard of Clapp before, but I'll definitely be checking them out after that.

    I love the front strap checkering into the grips. I really like how it is clean yet holds a bit of the duty look of a GI model. Upgrades in all the right places with no fluff.
