    Tristar Cobra Force 12g

I was perusing my LGS today for ammo, which has LOTS of defense ammo, but no target. I noticed their gun stock has increased exponentially from my last visit, so I decided to take a look at some of them. I noticed a lot of shotguns, lots of 22lr bolt actions, a couple of 22lr semis, and a couple ARs. What caught my eye was a sweet LOOKING shotgun for sub 400$. It was labeled as a "Tristar Cobra Force 12 gauge pump." I had never heard of this gun, but it has front FO sight, picatinny on top of receiver and picatinny on bottom front half of forend. I asked the salesperson to let me hold it and noticed the factory pistol grip is somewhat rubberized and the buttpad is pretty nice. The most interesting thing about this shotgun is that the forend is spring-loaded, so when you pull it back and let it go, the forend goes home. I am pretty sure it would chamber another round. It has a 20 inch barrel with a factory removable AR style muzzlebrake.

Anywho, has anyone any practical experience with these? I'm pretty sure that Tristar is an import company, not a firearms manufacturer. I would probably leave it in its stock configuration anyway.

    TriStar Cobra Force Shotgun

Start here.... seems like a decent gun but I would be concerned about replacement parts. A mossy 500 runs the same or less and is a great, proven home defender.

It says they're based out of Kansas City. They look like Escort shotguns and are probably from the same company, Hatsan in Turkey.
