This is a discussion on Which Gen G26 do I have? within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; image.jpg I've had this G26 for 8 years or so. There is no Gen designation on it. Can I assume it is a Gen. 1? ...
its not a gen 1, they have a smooth grip where the finger grooves are
They didn't make a Gen 1 Glock. They didn't make a Gen 2 Glock. They DID make a gen 2.5 for a short period.
You have a generation 3 Glock 26.
Looks like a Gen 3 to me as well.

The two small pins on the frame just above the trigger tell me it is a Gen 3.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. Because it's in English, thank a vet
Yes, it is a Gen-3...the best of all Gen's so far...IMHO

As Benjamin Franklin left the hall in Philadelphia, he was asked, “What kind of government have you given us, Dr. Franklin?” He replied: “A republic, if you can keep it.”
I'm going to play echo and say you have a Gen 3...the baby Glocks didn't come out until around 1995 or so, you have finger grooves also which didn't show up until gen 3.
LOL... yup.... Gen 3. Shoot and enjoy! Then, do it again.
Stop whining and go do something that makes a difference!
If you think that I may be talking to you, then I am.
I've had the exact same gun for close to 15 years. Gen 3 it is.
It looks like the one i got out of layaway, last month, which as the guys said is the gen 3.I'm liking mine so far.
At he risk of being accused of just going with the crowd or just piling on a thread already decided, I will say that yours is definitely a Gen3. I love my Gen3 G26. I have no doubt you'll enjoy yours as well.
I think the OP needs to write a letter to Glock CS to inquire what generation he has. Can't be too careful these days you know!
