The Equinox Sigs make me drool uncontrolably. I handled one at my local store and the trigger was butter smooth. Those custom shop guys really now how to make a grea pistol even better and more beautiful. My stock 220 has a good trigger, but man that trigger was noticably smoother and lighter.

I am not a LEO. I already have my Glock Armorers cert. (but it lapsed) and I wanted Sig's as well just so I can do work and not void any factory warranty (in theory). I just like knowing how to fix stuff if it breaks. I live in NH so it is a no brainer for me to go to one of the courses. I have been to the Sig Academy before for another course.
Courses : Handgun
Armorer Certification - SIG SAUER Pistols
Duration: 2 days/16 hours
Return to courses
The program content focuses on the mechanical functioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repair of the SIG Sauer pistol line.
This is a hands on program that teaches and guides each participant through all armorer operations, step by step with the instructor. Active participation in disassembly and assembly procedures coupled with question and answer periods provide the type of learning environment favorable for the retention of the material. Written and practical exams are administered to test the working knowledge of each participant.
The curriculum enables armorers to develop a pistol maintenance program on the inspection and servicing of the SIG Sauer law enforcement pistols for their departments. Following successful program completion, certification / re-certification to perform these procedures is valid for a period of three (3) years. This is of major importance to the agency as it maintains current practices and procedures for factory authorized maintenance on law enforcement pistols within the department.
* An introduction to SIG Sauer pistols
* An examination of the SIG Sauer Safety System
* Disassembly and assembly procedures: slides, frames, magazines
* A thorough examination of all pistol operations
* Inspection procedures
* Operational function checks
* Sights: installation, adjustment
* Alternative maintenance methods
* Student Kit w/free Sigarms Academy cap (a $40 kit value)
* 25% discount on purchases at SIGARMS Pro Shop made during the course.
* 20% discount on your next course if you register during this course (Specialty/Guest Instructor training courses excluded).
Prerequisites Open to all. Please note that some field locations are restricted to Law Enforcement Only (LEO).
This includes the following:
• Course Manual
The course is open to all unless it is at a remote location i.e. a police facility.

This is just a simple question that really doen't need a new thread, but has anyone ever experianced "hammer bite" from a Sig?

From 226, 228 and 220 - nope, not even a hint of it.
has anyone ever experianced "hammer bite" from a Sig?
IMO, on these anyways - the hammer just cannot get low enough, compared with the metal area remaining above the slight beavertail. I would doubt it could occur.
