My picture does not really do it justice but man what a sweet gun, both ooks and shooting.
I have only ever fired a Sig Pro before as my Sig pistol experience. I traded my Beretta PX4 Storm and my Springfield XD-45 for this gun...and while I lost a little $$$ in the deal I could't be happier.
My fist time out and about 50 practice rounds in I could put all 8 rounds in a ragged hole you could cover with a quarter at 15-20 feet.
What a shooter...for anyone who has never tried a Sig, don't start now or you might have less money in your wallet!!!
Any holster suggestions, she needs somthing befitting her royalty...OWB or shoulder holster, paddles are cool too...any suggestions?

P.s. Of someone wans to help me out posintg the pic at the link above I would be most appreciative...or shoot me a link on how to do it...thanks so much!!
Basically, you can use a photo hosting site like photobucket.com to upload the photo. Once the photo is up, find the address that will allow you to post it. the address will look something like
Once you have the address you are good to go, just remember you start off with
.
Also, if you need to get the url from a photo, you can right click over it, go to properites, and get it from there.
I really like the two-tone of the Equinox. I've come rather late in the game when it comes to Sigs. In my 10 years of shooting firearms, I shot my first Sig a little over a month ago. For some reason I avoided them, mainly because of my own prejudices. I've always thought they were guns "for people that wanted to be Navy Seals or Air Martials." I thought that way, until I ACTUALLY shot one. What a Sweeeeeettttt gun!!! I love the way it indexes, and the grip angle is just like the 1911. I can tell you right off the bat, my next gun will be a Sig. I'm leaning towards the 229.
I have the 226 ST as EDC but could happiliy live with that one :smilez:
Re pics - as a generalization, if the properties on a pic do not finish up with a valid image file extension such as JPG or GIF then it's unlikely it'll display even between ''img'' tags.
One trick - another option - when looking at original use ''alt printscreen'' which should put a BMP image capture on clipboard. Then if you have an image app and can use ''paste special'' - you can import that screen grab and crop down to the image part you want. Then save it, not too huge and attach it with a post.
I was looking at the 220 carry DAK in .45 in the new Combat carry mag, such a sweet looking pistol, to bad the barrel lenght makes it prohibited here. (All barrels less than 4" are apparently more evil than their longer cousins)
I must say my experiences are simular. I used to think Sig's were un-immaginative dull boring pistols that yuppies liked overpaying for.
Now mind you I am a wheelgun and 1911 fan so I have my idosuncracies, but when I went to buy a defensive pistol I choose tupperware, I had a Beretta PX4 Storm in 9mm for plinking and a XD-45 for serious social work. I am not busting on any polymer guns or the people who like them but man they had no soul...none, zip nadda.
I traded both of those for this and I am so happy, fit and finnish are impeccable and I learned the only thing boring with a Sig is the reliability!
I want their new STX 1911 and who knows what else. But I am now a confirmed Sig fan. You really do get what you pay for. I liked the other guns I had but I jst feel the ergonomics and asthetics are better with this beauty.
The reason I originally took notice was for those beautiful wood grips, they fit my mishappen mits very well.
I also really like the milled top strap and the TFO front sight:
....for a fee huh.....my agency is sending me to the armorer's course in 2007; maybe that conversion will be something they teach us.
The DAK is one of the best DAO triggers I've felt. I prefer it to the HK LEM and Walther Quick Action. I like my Steyr's "DAO" trigger, but they are, IMHO, different DAO animals with the Steyr trigger replicating the Glock trigger.
The DAK is, to me, more akin to a nicely done revolver DA trigger.
Not sure when I'm going to the course....my agency wants to first send me to the FLETC firearms instructor course...then SIGARMS and finally Remington for the 870 armorer's course.
Are you an LEO rfleming? I ask because I thought that the armorer's course was for LEO/mil-types only, but I'm probably wrong.
Anyhow, this is a nice gun! Now if SIGARMS would only bring back the P245 and "Equinox" and "DAK" it out.....I'd be a very happy hombre!
The Equinox Sigs make me drool uncontrolably. I handled one at my local store and the trigger was butter smooth. Those custom shop guys really now how to make a grea pistol even better and more beautiful. My stock 220 has a good trigger, but man that trigger was noticably smoother and lighter.
I am not a LEO. I already have my Glock Armorers cert. (but it lapsed) and I wanted Sig's as well just so I can do work and not void any factory warranty (in theory). I just like knowing how to fix stuff if it breaks. I live in NH so it is a no brainer for me to go to one of the courses. I have been to the Sig Academy before for another course.

Armorer Certification - SIG SAUER Pistols
Duration: 2 days/16 hours

Abstract
The program content focuses on the mechanical functioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repair of the SIG Sauer pistol line.
This is a hands on program that teaches and guides each participant through all armorer operations, step by step with the instructor. Active participation in disassembly and assembly procedures coupled with question and answer periods provide the type of learning environment favorable for the retention of the material. Written and practical exams are administered to test the working knowledge of each participant.
The curriculum enables armorers to develop a pistol maintenance program on the inspection and servicing of the SIG Sauer law enforcement pistols for their departments. Following successful program completion, certification / re-certification to perform these procedures is valid for a period of three (3) years. This is of major importance to the agency as it maintains current practices and procedures for factory authorized maintenance on law enforcement pistols within the department.

From 226, 228 and 220 - nope, not even a hint of it.
IMO, on these anyways - the hammer just cannot get low enough, compared with the metal area remaining above the slight beavertail. I would doubt it could occur.
