Looking for a summer time ccw

Need some advice on a new summer time ccw. I typically wear t-shirts and cargo shorts all summer. I just received my ccw license a week ago and am currently carrying a lc9 iwb. However, I have started practicing pulling the lc9 from iwb for defensive situations and have been having problems with accidentally pushing the magazine release button. I plan to continue to practice with this gun to see if I can work out the bugs. If I cannot, I need some ideas on something comparable to the size of the lc9. Or at least add another cool gun to my collection

    Thanks

I am a cargo-shorts-and-t shirt kind of guy, as well. The smaller the gun, the more difficult it is to manipulate the controls. I don't carry anything smaller than a Glock 19. With a decent holster and belt, it is very easy to carry an compact or full-size semi IWB.

Would you carry a glock 26 or is that too small for you?

I carry a glock 23 with a crossbreed supertuck deluxe. I too wear shorts all summer long and this far haven't had an issue with carrying that way

I carried my M&P Shield in a N82 holster all weekend with an untucked T shirt and it worked great.

Glock 32, M&P 9c, SIG 229, 1911, SIG 238, they all get carried in the summer.

Pick your own poison. They work year round.

My G26 and CBST work great in the summer here in FL. I wear shorts and a polo or T shirt all weekend.

A j frame sized revolver is a good fit for warm weather carry. If you wear cargo shorts, a k-frame sized snubby would work also, in a pocket holster, depending on if you would be comfortable with the weight. Any number of autos would fit the bill here, but I like to push revolvers..............

Glock 27 here. My wife has a LC9 and I'm real impressed with it. Maybe try a different holster...unless you are looking for an excuse to buy another pistol!

I am on board with J frames now. I carry a steel 640 in a CBST and it is a ridiculously comfortable set up that conceals extremely well. I wouldn't recommend an airweight, but any steel J frame disappears under a T shirt quite well.
I think guns are like insurance. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Too small for me, but folks who do carry them swear by them.
