Exclamation Beretta Pico - new .380 micro pistol

Pocket Guns and Gear: Beretta Pico Launched at the NRA Show

Interesting, but a shame they went with that mag release. Seems hard to use with a combat grip on the gun. Also requires re-training for those of us used to a more conventional release button. And finally, that design precludes a CT Laserguard. They have teamed up with another laser maker, but most of those integrated designs require a separate step to activate the laser.

Not sure if the slide locks open when empty...? The sights do look nice.

I have not been able to find the dimensions or the weight listed yet.

Anywho - posted as an FYI. Looks like an interesting addition to a crowded field. The mag release is a war-stopper for me, but I'm sure there will be those who don't mind.

Linked article mentioned in the link above talks about Doubletap making a .380 cartridge for this gun...that seems kinda interesting as well. Would like to see some info on that...

Can switch to .32 with just a barrel swap (meh)

Barrel only tilts a bit over 1 degree, which is supposed to give more reliable feeding (hmmm...)

Will hit the market with holsters, night sights already available (good planning)

Interesting. I'll stick with my LCP and LCR but for the Beretta boys this should pique some interest.

I'd say they are kind of late to the game. It looks decent, but the bore axis looks way high, just like the Nano. I'm a Beretta fan, but I'm not sure if I will be purchasing one of these.

It looks interesting. At least they are bring something different to the table. I feel like the LCP, TCP, and P-3AT are all too similar. I love that it has full size replaceable sights.

10thmtn: Thanks for the links; they look very interesting. When August rolls around, I just might have to try one on for fit!

Looks like it would have some serious muzzle flip with that high bore axis. Think I'll stick with my LCP for the tiny pocket work, but thanks for the links sir. Interesting reading and videos.

Interesting looking gun. I'm happy with my Nano but if it's even smaller it might be a good BUG or hideout.

I think if I feel the need to carry a gun, micro, macro, or any other diminutive "teacup" design is not on the list.

Looks like a toy, to me. Maybe if they hadn't made the display in purple?

I wonder how it compares in size and weight to the LCP.
