Talk me out of it: Smith and Wesson 442 Moon Clip .38 Special +P for BUG

I see a Smith and Wesson 442 Moon Clip in my future, to be used as my backup gun:

    Pros:
    - Can be concealed in my pocket
    - Pull the trigger, it goes bang
    - Accepts moon clips, as well as other speedloaders/strips
    - The beveled chambers might make it easier to load the firearm from a speed perspective
    - I'm proficient with revolvers, I just don't own one I'd be comfortable carrying due to size

    Cons:
    - Moon clips can be flimsy and such, but I also don't need to use them
    - I'd have to buy different ammo than what the wife and I have readily available in our stash

The "talk me out of it" is mostly my way of asking for people's thoughts on the gun, so I can be sure to get a good deal of opinions, especially negative ones.

For reference, my EDC is a S&W M&P9c.

    Thanks, all!

I would be stupid to try and talk you out of it.

You may have trouble finding people to try to talk you out of it. It's a great little revolver.

I can talk you out of it. Buy a 642 cut for moon clips.

You forgot the single biggest "Pro" for your list: it would be a NEW gun!

Go for it. I've got two 9mm SP101s that work best with moon clips and they really aren't a challenge or all too flimsy.

I think it will be an great SD setup. I can do much better with moon clips than with speed loaders. My only recommendation is to buy plenty of moon clips so you don't have load them up at the range.

Also sorry but that's my BUG as well so I can only say, go for it. Get a set of Crimson Trace grips and your hood to go.
