Good Luck with it. Give us a range report when you shoot it.

    20 ozs?! Only two shots?

No thanks. 24 ozs across two pockets nets me two LCPs, with 14 rounds between them.

    Whatever works for you.

The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

I would not be comfortable with only 2 shots. I do hope you enjoy the new gun though.

Sort of looks like a novelty. Can anyone imagine shooting that thing in 10mm? (one of the listed calibers). It would probably fly out of my hand.

Good luck with it. I would not have the stones to only carry that for my EDC.

I really like it. Have you had a chance to fire it yet?

    i carry one as well.

i'll be carrying two by the fall.

    i load mine with 410 000 buck.

if you need more than two rounds in a ccw situation, maybe you shouldn't be pulling your gun.

My LGS has several of the BA Derringers in stock - including the op's. I have seen them at Gander too. I considered one for a hide gun in the home. Like in the bathroom. You know, an emergency stash gun for just in case.

Derringers definitely have their place in up close and personal social work. I tried a cheapy brand once and found it a little difficult to hang on to but didn't try to find another grip for it which I should have. I have a little NAA .22 Mag that tries to jump out of my hand using the stock tiny grips so I looked around and found some larger ones on amazon.com that made it a dream to shoot and still be small.

Not sure I would go with a derringer or the NAA as a primary but certainly as a BUG.

Do some research into the penetration of .410 buckshot when fired from such a short barrel.

With any handgun, I would plan on needing more than two shots for any determined, drugged up, or just plain crazy attacker.

For the weight and price, there are just so many other better choices out there for defensive purposes. If you want one for the novelty, or the ability to switch barrels and use different ammo, then I get it. But I would not use one as a primary, nor as a BUG. JMHO.

Not my thing, but I'm not the one carrying it. Possibly as a BUG, but not a primary EDC.
