Thoughts on picking up a Colt pistol?

Always loved the Pythons. Always. Never can afford one. Never. Also heard they can be cantankerous. Now, I have looked at some Mark III's that are considerably less but still grab my attention at less than half (or a third) of the Python. Anyone familiar with these? Any comments?

The Mark IIIs are excellent revolvers in their own right, but they are not budget Pythons, different actions. They are worth owning.

I have the Python but I would pick up a Mark III in an instant if ever came across one.

I have a Colt Python, Trooper Mark III, and a Trooper 357. They are all great guns and good shooters. The Trooper 357 is closer to a Python. The Trooper Mark III is at 3:00 o'clock and the Trooper 357 is at 9:00 o'clock.

I carry a gun, because a Cop is too heavy.

I'm not familiar with them at all, I just think they're not as cool as the Pythons. :P So there's my worthless comment for the day. Not helpful, I know. But I guess shallow people like myself are the reason the Pythons are so much more expensive...

Shallow is good. My wife says it's one of my strengths.

LC, can we be friends? And, while I'm at it, old friend, can I borrow you Python?
